To keep cotton sheets soft, clean, and long-lasting, please follow these washing instructions: 

1. Pre-wash (if new): Wash new sheets before first use to remove any finishing and production process, and to soften the fabric. 

2. Use Cool or Warm Water : Wash in cool or warm water (not hot) to prevent shrinking and fading. 

3. Gentle Cycle : Use a gentle or normal cycle to minimize wear of the fabric. 

4. Mild Detergent : Opt for a mild, liquid detergent, especially for delicate colours. Do not use bleach, as it can weaken fibres and fade colours.
 
5. Avoid Overloading : Wash sheets alone or with other lightweight fabrics to allow for adequate rinsing and to reduce friction. 

6. Skip Fabric Softeners : These can leave a residue on the fabric over time. If you like extra softness, use a half-cup of white vinegar during the rinse cycle. 

7. Tumble Dry on Low or Line Dry : Use a low heat setting or air dry, as high heat can cause shrinkage and damage. If line drying, shake out wrinkles before hanging.
 

 Following these steps can help maintain the softness and durability of cotton sheets, keeping them comfortable and looking fresh.
